I'm part of the EuroSTAR 2014 media team
Just a brief post, in case you missed the announcement: I'm one of the three lucky people who was selected by EuroSTAR to lead their official 2014 Conference coverage in Dublin.
It means that, in three weeks' time, I'll be heading to my first EuroSTAR not only as an attendee, but also as a budding reporter. It only took 11 years and a hefty student loan, but I'm finally putting my journalism degree to good use!
I'll be sharing the platform with Kim Knup, who I know well from meetups and the wider community (in fact I'll be seeing her again in about an hour after this post!) and Nick Shaw, who I've not met before but I remember him from his "Seeking a Mentor" discussion on the Software Testing Club website and he's clearly a mature and driven person, I'm looking forward to joining up with him!
The conference is being held at the Dublin Convention Centre, the barrel-shaped building on the banks of the Liffey. It's been designed beautifully both outside and inside; the main auditorium is absolutely perfect for live blogging, with its individual tables and power sockets.
The auditorium is so cool! Each chair has its own table & a plug, handy for charging laptops etc. :-) pic.twitter.com/aECTODdGmt— EuroSTAR Conferences (@esconfs) March 26, 2014
You'll hear more from me in the buildup to EuroSTAR, which (especially given my new responsibilities) is approaching at a rate of knots! If there's anything special that you'd like me to cover, in terms of either particular sessions or themes, please drop me a line using one of the methods on the left, or leave a comment below.
